BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS COMMITTEE

  • Chair: Steve Vail
  • Members: Brad Blanchard, Tony Coleman, Tim Clough, Doug Rosene, Dan Heiter, Colleen McKenna, Jim Young
  • Duties: Overseeing the maintenance of our building and grounds. To suggest changes as needed to preserve the integrity or the property.

CONGREGATIONAL AFFAIRS COMMITTEE

  • Chair: Nancy Birdsall
  • Members: Mary Birdsall, Diane Itasaka, Karen Wemmelman, Jim Young, Pat Feller
  • Duties: The Congregational Affairs Committee serves the needs of our congregation by such things as providing calendars of church activities, publishing a members directory, and trying to make our facility comfortable, safe, attractive and welcoming to all. In its outreach and welcoming efforts, it has placed ads, installed signs, distributed literature, and greeted guests.

FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE

  • Chair: Doug Rosene
  • Church Treasurer: Lorraine Adams
  • Members: Ruth Wight, Don Ridgely, Jen Mayo
  • Duties: The Finance and Administration Committee consists of a minimum of six members approved by the Board of Trustees. The Church Treasurer is an ex-officio member of this committee, with vote and the Chair of the Board of Trustees is also an ex-officio member but without vote. One member of the Committee is normally a member of the Board of Trustees and serves as the Board Representative.

    During each Church fiscal year which runs from July 1 of one year through June 30th of the following year, the committee oversees the church budget, monitoring income and expenses and may make recommendations to the Board of Trustees for modifications of the current budget. The committee may also make recommendations to the Permanent Funds Committee for the more effective handling of invested funds overseen by that committee. It is also responsible for overseeing all administrative functions of the church and makes recommendations and sets policies for the efficient operation of the church.

    Each Winter the Committee is responsible for preparing the annual budget for the upcoming fiscal year. Each Spring the Committee organizes the annual All Member Canvass which seeks to raise funds for the upcoming budget through annual pledges and donations. The annual budget developed by this committee must first be approved by the Board of Trustees and then submitted to the Annual Meeting in May of each year for final approval by the entire congregation.

LANDSCAPE DESIGN COMMITTEE (Subcommittee of Buildings & Grounds)

  • Duties: The Landscape Design Committee was established for the purpose of designing the landscape plan and overseeing landscape projects.

  • Duties: Provide music and make decisions regarding music for any service.
