The following adult spirituality programs are available for this spring:
Meditation/Book Club
Practicing meditation and mindfulness using the book and tapes from Wherever You Go There You Are by Jon Kabat-Zinn. The workshops include discussion and activities. Seven sessions begin Monday, March 11th 2002 and run through April 22nd. No need to attend every single class! Contact Kristin Leary for more details.
My Credo Workshop
Most of us find it easier to say what we don't believe than articulate what we do believe. Through written exercises, conversation and imagining, Rev. Steve Shick will help you discover and articulate and live what you truly believe. The workshop will take place on Sunday, March 24th from noon until 2 p.m.
Book Discussion Group
On April 4th and May 2nd from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Wendy von Zirpolo and Rev. Steve Shick will lead a discussion on the book Nickel and Dimed: On (Not) Getting By in America by Barbara Ehrenreich. Sign up sheets are on the piano in the Murray Room.
Women’s Spirituality Course
A women's spirituality course for adult and youth women is being explored. . . . Wendy von Zirpolo would like interested people to contact her via email at wendyvon@aol.com or sign up using the sheets provided on the Murray Room piano. This is an opportunity to be decided by the group with intent to meet for a minimum of six months.
