Religious Education Offerings 2000-2001

3-4 Year-olds

Chalice Children
Thirty-six session and five alternative sessions. This program is designed to nurture young children’s spiritual growth, creativity and connection to their Unitarian Universalist community through rhymes, games, puppetry, stories and activities. (UUA, 1998)

K & 1st grades

Around the Church, Around the Year
Year-long program that helps children to understand the faith and practices of our UU community. Contains 9 units with 34 easy-to-follow session plans, leader resources, music to share with the group, 7 participant handouts and 11 illustrated read-aloud stories.

2nd & 3rd grades

Timeless Themes
Introduces children to the rich biblical literature to central to our UU culture and heritage. Thirty-four sessions include creative games, songs and Bible stories written in language for today’s young readers yet true to the original source. (UUA-1991)

4th - 6th grades

We Believe: Learning and Living Our UU Principles
This twenty-two session program engages participants in learning and living our Unitarian Universalist principles through stories, discussions, activities and worship experiences.

6th - 12th grades

See the Youth Group, OWL and Coming of Age write-ups for more information about programming for middle and high-school youth. Youth are also offered opportunities to volunteer in our nursery (high school age only) and as classroom aides.
