Our church has committed to using Fair Trade Coffee during coffee hour. In doing so, we are participating in the UUSC Coffee Project, which is a partnership between the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (UUSC) and Equal Exchange. This partnership supports small farmers in the developing world to earn a living wage for their work. Buy Fair Trade Coffee and sell or give it to your friends and family.
During the Christmas season, we sold over $2,500 worth of fair trade crafts on consignment from Colores del Pueblo, a fair trade organization dedicated to directly assisting Latin American artisans and farmers. You can help make our marketing efforts expand.
The church is a member of the UU Mass Action, a statewide network of ministers and lay members representing Massachusetts Unitarian Universalist churches and fellowships. "Our mission is to mobilize Unitarian Universalists individually and congregationally to take action in support of Unitarian Universalist principles for a more just, equitable and compassionate Commonwealth." Join us as we participate in the activities of this vital justice organization.
