We are people of diverse backgrounds and beliefs who come together as a community of faith. We are a people who are seeking connection and longing to go deeper in the spiritual life. We are a people who believe in putting our faith into action by loving and serving our neighbors in this city and in the wider world.
Every Sunday when we gather for worship, we say together an affirmation of faith--words which articulate who we are and how we strive to live in the world. It begins:
Love is the doctrine of this church
The quest for truth is its sacrament
And service is its prayer.
We hope you will join us for worship on Sunday mornings at 10:30 AM. Most Sundays children and adults begin in worship together, and then children and youth leave to participate in our religious education program. Of course, children are always welcome to stay with their parents in church.
Our worship follows a familiar Protestant format, with hymns, readings and or/stories, time for prayer and meditation, and a sermon, usually given by our minister. Guest preachers and lay members of our congregation also occasionally lead the service.
