Frank Clarkson , Parish Minister

This congregation called the Rev. Frank Clarkson to be its minister in April of 2008, and he began his ministry here the following August. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Frank previously worked as a freelance commercial photographer before he discerned a call to the ministry. He received his Master of Divinity degree from Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge in 2004 and was ordained to the Unitarian Universalist ministry in 2005. For three years he served as the assistant minister at the North Parish of North Andover. Frank has been married to Tracey for over twenty years and they are happy to be the parents of two teenagers, Will and Emma. In his spare time, Frank enjoys being at home with his family, going fly fishing and camping, and finding time for silence.

Frank Gauvin , Sunday Morning Sexton

Frank Gauvin has been a UU for at least twenty years. His philosophy is to leave things better than he finds them, and he practices that in a number of ways. Frank came to Haverhill about 14 years ago and has been part of our church ever since. For the past seven years he has been our Sunday Morning Sexton. He helps with general maintenance of the building and grounds and helps with 'whatever needs to be done.' During the week he works full time at a roofing company and spends his free time enjoying his friends and the great outdoors. Frank plays a particularly vital role here on Sunday mornings--in addition to the usual sexton tasks, he makes the coffee, and he's good at it!

Sally Liebermann , Director of Religious Education

Sally Liebermann came to UUCH as a wife and mother of two young children, seeking a spiritual home and religious education for her children, and that is what she found here. She soon became an active member, serving on the Social Action Committee and helping regularly with Community Meals. In 2005 she was named our Director of Religious Education. Sally says she finds this work to be both challenging and empowering, and it teaches her to be a kinder and more mature person. When not working, Sally enjoys time with her family and friends, particularly when they are in the woods or at the beach. She and her family live locally.
