Becoming a Member

In our congregational system like ours, the members of the church are entrusted with making the biggest decisions. We vote to approve an annual budget and, when it’s time, to call a new minister. We elect our own leaders, who work with the minister and staff to manage the day to day operations of the church.

To become a member here means you’re ready to say “This is my church,” and that you intend to participate actively here and help out as you’re able, contributing your skills, effort and money.

If you’d like to learn more about this church and our UU tradition, attend the UU101 class we offer several times a year. Speak with Rev. Frank Clarkson, or a member of the Membership Committee, or come to coffee hour after worship and visit the Welcome Table, where you can sign up to get a name tag and can find more information about the church.
